Week One: 2 Hours
Artists will learn to see overlapping objects with an emphasis on spacial relationship and proportion. A series of quick sketches will turn into a completed composition with foreground, middle ground and background.
Drawing skills include proportion, shading and contour shape.
Week Two: 2 Hours
Color theory along with values will be incorporated into your acrylic painting, beginning with filling the canvas and followed with your newly acquired expertise. Cost $100.00 plus canvas fee
Subject to be determined: Sail away/Japanese figure drawing/Still life
Using hand made papers and collected objects; we will go wild with texture and color followed by paint and drawing tools.
Week One: The plan and laying down some papers
Week Two: Pulling it together with overlapping collage papers and additional medium. Mini critiques and sharing during the process.
Cost 100.00 plus materials and canvas fee, size will be your choice
Perspective drawing. Focus will be cityscape or landscape using one point perspective.
Week One: Sketching from photos and quick outside at the park if weather permits: “To draw a tree lesson”
Create composition and lay down colors.
Week Two: Focus on developing style while looking at the masters for inspiration. Explore painting skills to understand the painterly process to complete your landscape. Cost $100.00 plus canvas fee.
Painting a silk scarf size 8” x 54” Learn simple silk painting techniques like serti, salt and color mixing after designing a SILK scarf and painting with French dyes.
In a 3-hour class you will make a scarf beginning to end and I’ll steam it and mail it to you after the dyes are set. Cost for 3 hours $110 includes material fee.
